Y&R Scoop: Chance Chancellor Theorizes With Kevin Fisher

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, August 2 suggests Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will smell a Newman cover-up.

Also coming up, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) acts as a sounding board for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Plus, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will remind Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) he’s a Newman. And Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) gets turned down.

Y&R spoilers tease Adam will spot his father at Society and start to approach him. But Noah will beat him to it. He’ll discuss his plans for Newman Towers. Victor will tell his grandson he’s impressed. However, he’s not going to change the restaurant. He’ll advise Noah to spread his wings before he comes back to work for the family.

Y&R Weekly Scoop – Adam Tells Victor He Warned Him

Adam will approach Victor as Noah leaves. He’ll ask his father why he doesn’t have a tequila in hand, celebrating Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death. “I won’t pretend to grieve the loss of Ashland Locke…but that doesn’t mean you should be glib about his death,” Victor will say. Adam will comment that there are so many questions out there. “At least that’s the sense I got when I ran into Chance.”

Y&R Scoop: Adam Newman Tells His Father He Was Going To Leave Town

Victor will ask what he and Chance talked about. Adam will tell him he was going to leave town, but Chance hinted he should stick around. Then Adam will remind his father he warned him and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about Ashland. “You’re beginning to piss me off and that’s never a good idea,” Victor will say. “You’re a Newman, it’d do you well to remember that.”

At Newman Enterprises, Sally will tell Nick she’s staying at Newman Media. Then she’ll get an alert on her phone. “Oh my God!” she’ll exclaim. “Ashland Locke is dead.” Nick will tell her he had a confrontation with Locke before his death. Sally will ask when it took place. He’ll admit it was just before he saw her at Crimson Lights. Sally will tell him he can talk to her about it. Nick will say he’s glad she’s sticking around. He’ll ask her what story she’ll run about Ashland and Sally will tell him she’ll stick to reporting the facts. “It’s nice to know I can count on you,” Nick will reply.

Then Nick will get a message from Chance and he’ll head to Crimson Lights to meet him. Chance will say Victor’s security guy’s stories all sounded like they were reading from the same script. Nick will remind him he brought the signet ring to him right away. He’ll say he’s been honest from the start. “I have nothing to hide,” Nick will tell Chance as he leaves. “What exactly do you want from me?”

Finally, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will show up, saying he’s got the autopsy results. Ashland’s cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head. Chance will talk about Nick’s fight with Ashland. “So that’s your theory, that Nick threw the punch that killed Locke?” Kevin will ask. Chance will say that if Nick’s punch ended Locke’s life, “how the hell did that guy end up dead in a ravine?”
